Samadhi Rush Episode 201// Foundations of Practice: Ishvara Pranidhana

kellysunrose

Sweet doves,

We’ve come to our third and final podcast in this series on the foundations of practice. (You can revisit the first two here & here.)

As a reminder, these foundations come to us from 2.1 of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali:

tapah svadhyaya ishvara-pranidhana kriya-yogah

The foundations of the yoga of action consist of tapas (self-discipline), svadhyaya (self-study) and ishvara pranidhana (dedication to god-consciousness).

2.1

This class focuses on ishvara pranidhana, dedication to god-consciousness. Of course, this is totally fraught, since religions all over the world throughout time have limited our understanding of god with words and specific attributions. In this class, I invite you to move beyond what others have told us of god, to expand into a dedication to love. Love requires trust. Trust requires love.

Thank you, always, for being here.

Deepest bows. Deepest love.
