The Glacier’s Pace

kelly SUNROSE

Consider what glaciers have moved. Consider what glaciers have created and destroyed.

There will be times when things move fast. I have learned to regard this as grace.

Most of the time, however, things will move slowly. So slowly that you may forget that you are moving. So slowly that your movement will be undetectable to the untrained eye.

Then one day, many moons, many years, perhaps eons later, you may awaken to realize you are no longer the same person you once were. The precise moment of the event may escape you.

Nothing has changed.

Everything has changed.

Circumstances may be exactly the same, but you and your relationship to them has been absolutely transformed.

Embrace the pace of the glacier.
