MEDITATION foundations

Meditation Foundations is a space for the beginning and ongoing practice of yogic meditation. Over the course of 6 weeks, students will learn techniques for settling into “the seat” of meditation, practices for the progressively settled mind and a process for creating an enduring daily home meditation practice.

This is a space for transformation!

Classes include practices for preparing the body for stillness with simple movements, finding a comfortable seat, befriending the breath, softening one’s attachment to thoughts and using meditation techniques to reveal a sense of abiding peace. Following our in-class practices, students have ample opportunities to share their experiences and ask questions. Additionally, Kelly offers guidance and support for students establishing a home practice and honors the work of creating the habit of practice as some of the deepest work of our lives. Homework will be offered, and Kelly creates guided audio practices and a workbook to support home practice.

We’ll meet each Sunday, beginning April 7th and concluding May 12th, from 2-3:15 pm. Register for the entire series online or at the desk, $70. Yearly members ($99/month) are welcome to attend series at no additional cost, other monthlies and class cards are not accepted.
